Every page, link and second, measured before anyone redesigns.

Opinions about a website are cheap. We measure it the way visitors meet it, on four screen widths, and hand you a report that ends in one list of changes.

Ten passes over your site, all read-only.

Each pass is a script we wrote and reuse. Nothing is typed into your forms and nothing on your site changes.

Every addressfrom the sitemap and the site’s public content listing
Every redirectwhat the server answers for each address, hop by hop
Every page, four widthsdesktop, tablet, phone and 1100 px, full-length pictures
Every clickmenus, tabs and pop-ups pressed, on laptop and phone
Scripts off, motion offwhat is left with JavaScript off and reduced motion on
Every picturereal size against shown size, and the weight it adds
Speed and accessibilityGoogle Lighthouse on each key page
Broken linksinside the site and on the way out
Exposed keysanything the pages publish that they shouldn’t, masked in the report
A before-and-after filean HTML report and a PDF you can forward

What the finished document covers.

The written parts are ours; every number comes straight from the measurements. The lab's version ran to a 37-page before-and-after PDF.

For the dental lab we scored 10 larger labs on 8 things a dentist can check from the outside, each from 0 to 2, for a maximum of 16. The criteria change with your trade; the method doesn't. Competitors stay unnamed outside your report, and we never republish their pages.

Before you spend on a redesign, or after a bad one.

What we need from you. The address. Optionally, the names of three competitors and read access to your analytics. That's all.

About the audit.

Will the audit change anything on our live site?

No. Every script only reads. It loads pages, scrolls, and presses menus, tabs and pop-ups. It never types into a field, sends a form or follows a link off your site.

Do we need to give you passwords?

Not for the public audit. Everything is measured the way a visitor would see it. Access to analytics or search tools adds detail, but it is optional.

What if the audit says we don't need a new site?

Then that is the finding. Many audits end with a short list of fixes your current developer can make. The report is yours to use with anyone.

Which competitors do you compare us with?

Ones you name, plus a few we find that customers in your area would also see. We score what a buyer can see on their sites; we don't republish their pages or name them outside your report.

Curious what your site weighs? We'll measure it.

Send us the address. The first call is free, and the findings are yours either way.
